My Family

So wow... there is a lot to say about me and my family.  I am a silly girl, with a HUGE heart. Born and raised in South Louisiana... aka the country. I am a city girl at heart.  I swear I should be living in a big city somewhere.  I am extremely shy and don't really have a lot to say in person, but boy give me a phone to text on or a computer to type at and I can talk for days!!!

I have three beautiful kids and one wonderful husband.
My kids: Cody - he is 16; Katelyn (aka Kate) - she is 14; Benjamin (aka Ben) - he is 10. They are pretty wonderful when they want to be.  Just like MOST kids... they do pretty much what they are told and NEVER to any greater lengths.
Cody is the oldest.  He is super tall (but he would say I am super short), likes to play his xbox, watch MTV, drive me nuts, drive his dad nuts, drive his siblings nuts, and did I say drive everyone nuts??? My husband says he is just like me... he is very stubborn and pouts when he doesn't get his way. My sweet sweet Cody.  Cody is gifted... no really he is.  He is sooooo smart. He doesn't have to study at all. (He didn't get that from me)Not really sure what I would do had Cody not come along when he did. I had Cody when I was 16. Having him completely changed my life. I was headed down a path of distruction. Praise God for bringing Cody into my life.

Katelyn is my poor poor middle child. NO she does not have middle child syndrome. She suffers from being too spoiled. Rightly so though... she is a good kid. She is super smart and studies a lot. She is very busy. She plays softball for her local high school. She used to play for a travel softball team until we discovered she had scoliosis and had to have surgery. (Later post)

Benjamin is the baby in the family. He is just like Cody (although Cody nor Ben will admit it). He is super smart. Doesn't have to study to get straight A's. He used to be pretty active. Now he likes to watch a lot of TV and annoy his siblings. ha!  Ben has a heart of gold when he wants to let people know he shows it. Otherwise... he keeps that little secret to himself.

Love my babies!!!!!

Chris and I were married on September 25, 1995.  We met and were married while in high school. Most would think that we were married because I was pregnant, but that isn't the full truth. We were encouraged to be married because of the pregnancy, but we both knew that we didn't have to be married. We wanted to be. We loved each other. What an amazing man to step up to the plate and be a dad and husband at such a young age. I wouldn't wish a pregnancy and marriage on someone at 16 years old, but if that sort of trial comes into any of your lives... I hope you have someone like my Chris to be there for you. He is my ROCK!!! I just love him!
